Web Developer/Programmer

Mission Creative, a full-service Midwest advertising agency, is seeking a Web Developer/Programmer. Working with clients and the web development team, the Web Developer/Programmer provides appropriate programming and database development support for Mission Creative and its clients and provides website administration services for hosted websites including domain registrations and security. The position also participates in technical and architectural-solution design and decision-making and recommends technical web-based solutions for business problems or opportunities.

Mission Creative is owned by Woodward Communications, a national multimedia corporation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Provides programming and database development for websites.

* Deliver exceptional results by ensuring web products function appropriately while meeting strategic goals and client expectations.

* Assist with planning and implementation of programming design and development.

* Oversees 3rd party web server environment and on-site file servers.

* Provides website and email technical support and training for clients for products produced and hosted by Mission Creative.

* Serves as a technical liason with vendors and 3rd party providers.

REQUIREMENTS:

* Advanced knowledge of web programming languages including PHP, .Net, SQL, XHTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX (jQuery). Proficiency in ColdFusion necessary to support existing programming. Experience with Content Management Systems is a plus.

* Strong analytical thinking and ability to communicate conceptual ideas.

* Strong written and verbal skills including the ability to relay technical, complex information using everyday, layman's language.

* Remains current on creative trends, techniques, and technologies that drive cutting-edge web development

* Ability to think clearly under pressure and focused under tight deadlines

* Excellent attention to detail
