John Deere Dubuque Works is seeking an Embedded Systems Engineer to develop electronic systems and components for Construction and Forestry equipment. In this position, you will: Create software algorithms for controlling hydraulic and powertrain systems. Uses Model Based Software Design techniques to create, analyze, and test Software Algorithms for Electronic components in complex systems such as Power Inverters, Hydraulic Controls, and Hydrostatic Propel Controls. Collaborate with cross-functional design teams, including hydraulics, powertrain or vehicle electrification. Creates Requirements Documents for Electronic Components and Software Algorithms Provides Technical Support to the Factory, Supply Management, and Product Support during the Product Development Process (PDP) Project Phases. Education Four year degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience. Required Skills and Experience 3+ years experience performing analysis, design and/or testing of electrical systems. Knowledge of Embedded Systems Tools such as emulators, compilers, and simulators. Knowledge of electro-hydraulics, electronic circuits and CAN communications. Experience with C Programming and Model Based Software Design. Experience with a variety of electronic components, including micro-controllers, SmarFets, and Flash. Ability to work with suppliers in the application and design of electronic components. Ability to write Requirement Documents. Desired Skills and Experience Knowledge of Construction, Forestry, or Agricultural Equipment.
